Clarifiers and DAFs
Circle or rectangular, scraping or suction-header, new or rebuilt - Phoenix understands clarifiers and the critical effect they have on effluent quality and the upstream biological process. Not only does our team have over a decade of experience in fabricating and installing conventional systems, but we also researched and developed innovative systems for the US Army that resutled in mulitple patents.
DAFs are a maintenance-intensive, yet necessary, step to many industrial treatment and pre-treatment processes. Our experts are as comfortable rebuilding them onsite as they are fabricating them from raw material.
Aeration and Mixing
We maintain and install hard working fine-, medium-, or coarse-bubble aeration for aerobic zones and digesters.
Our colossal-bubble syphon mixer is perfect for anoxic zones and when the flow rate for oxygenation is less than the flow rate required for proper mixing.
Phoenix Water has custom-designed, fabricated, and installed multiple iterations of aeration grids and units, from fixed-grid, floating later, and retrievable systems.
Integrated Treatment
Our staff members have been designing package plants and biological treatment systems for over 15 years. Our team can deliver your treatment system - from screens through disinfection - in a modular design shipped and installed onsite in a fraction of the time compared to traditional concrete construction.
We can help guide and advise on minor modifications to help squeeze every bit of potential out of your existing system without necessarily having to work back through permit modifications.
Thickening and Dewatering
Phoenix Water has worked with innovative dewatering technologies in agriculture for dairy and swine manure, meat and poultry processing, and sludge management at municipal plants. We have piloted, installed, repaired, and maintained augers, screens, rings, and gearboxes for these systems.
Gravity thickening tanks and oil-water separators can be fully fabricated in-house.
Moving Bed Bioreactors (MBBRs)
We've been fighting ammonia in sand filters and lagoons since the EPA first announced revised requirements based on snails and mussels in 2013. We are familiar with the host of solutions on the market but the MBBR stands out as one of the most reasonable long-term solutions. Our team can bring your facility into compliance within weeks.
Drop-in MBBRs, with or without integrated aeration, can be added (or "dropped-in") to existing activated sludge basins to increase biomass with minimal additional solids load to the clarifier. This can be a great option for increased ammonia removal or seasonal variation in flow and load.
Digesters and EQ Tanks
Bolted and welded tanks can be used for a variety of applications and these are many companies that can fabricate these vessels.
